Ladies Ministry

Welcome to the Ladies Ministry page!

We will be having a "Ladies Movie Night" at the church on Friday night, May 18th.  We will be watching the movie, "The Ultimate Gift."  All ladies are invited to come join us and bring your favorite snack!

Here are some "on-going" ministries that the ladies are doing:

1) Collecting Box Tops from certain food items to save for the 3rd through 5th grade schools in Skiatook.  Each Box Top is worth 10 cents and the money will be used to buy supplies for the school.  Talk to Anita Reding about what foods you can find the Box Tops on!

2)  Do you clip coupons?  If so, be sure to check out our coupon box back in the fellowship hall.  We not only share coupons with each other, but we also send the expired coupons to the military because they can use them for up to 6 months after the experation date!  For more details see Paula or Connie...

3)  If you have old Christmas or other greeting cards that are just taking up space, bring them to church and we will be donating them to St. Judes Ranch in Boulder City, Nevada.  This is just the front of the cards, so be sure to cut the fronts off and only bring them.  For more informations, see Juanita...

4)   We have an on-going basket to collect items for the Shoe Box for kids ministry.  That way when you find some bargains through the year, you can bring them up and put them in the basket, and we will make up the boxes later in the year.   If we have children this summer, we will do the "Christmas in July" again, and if not, the adults will put them together in November.   For more information on this, see Juanita Reding

5) We are still collecting items for Blue Starr Mothers! This is a group of Moms who send packages to soldiers overseas.  Check with Paula Turner for items that are needed.

6) Our Ruth Pantry is where we donate non-perishable food items to keep on hand at the church to help out families in the community when they need a little extra help with groceries

7) We have started a new Prayer Quilt ministry!  We will be making  lap quilts for people in need....maybe someone who is grieving or sick, or someone in the nursing home.  Once they are put together, the threads will be put in them but not tied and then we will have the quilt hanging on the wall and people can come by and tie a thread together as they pray for the person the quilt is going to!  Anyone interested in joining this awesome ministry is welcome to help out!   See Carrie for more details...
